Bearman (Kana: ベアマン) is the Wood Elemental in the 1985 film/1986 OVA Robotman and the Five Elements and a recurring character in Denki Hero Roboman Chuu.
He tends to act as a "third wheel" to Roboman and Mako's duo.
Appearance
Bearman is obese and slightly shorter than Roboman. While he has some peachy skin, he has a brown forehead with a green rectangle and two "bear ears" on it.
He has a black neck (dark green in the OVA) reading "クマ" (bear) in light green, he also has a brown upper body with a massive belly of a slightly lighter shade (as to resemble a bear's body) and black bottom, connected by a black belt with a rectangle for a buckle. In the OVA, most of Bearman's body is of a dark shade of brown.
Personality
Bearman is extremely silly and maybe not that smart of a guy, but he takes pride and joy in his round body, to the point where he more often than not slaps his belly.[1]
Abilities
- Bearman rarely uses any abilities, but he has an attack that he can perform by doing a "belly flop" on the ground, and thus everything around him would shake.
- In a few episodes of Chuu and the PC-98 game, Bearman has been shown to use sumo wrestling moves.
Trivia
- According to an interview, Bearman is Kyōgo Yamashita's favorite character out of those introduced in the movie, and "[he] wouldn't mind seeing him again". Thus Bearman would reappear as a recurring character in Chuu.
