NHK, short for Nihon Hōsō Kyōkai (Kanji: 日本放送協会, lit. Japan Broadcasting Corporation), is Japan's national broadcaster.
NHK, which has always been known by this romanized acronym in Japanese, is a statutory corporation funded by viewers' payments of a television license fee.
Involvement with Studio XYZ[edit | edit source]
Several of Studio XYZ's more well-known TV anime air on NHK, which often follow a common format:
- All of their key animation is provided by a circle known as Roboteam (exception: Shin Ponpoko 4-Kyoudai)
- The studio's logo is shown at the very beginning (exception: Anan TV)
- Their promotional poster shows the director's name at the very bottom.
